yeah, I should have noted the sarcasm, " friendly, hard working, undocumented migrant" part, hoping some would finally wake up.

Here's the thing..... there are some hard working, "undocumented migrants" here. But they have proven themselves as good neighbors for years.
If they were (are) Illegal though, they sure didn't pay taxes like the rest of us.
IF they were hard working, they aren't sucking up TAX PAYER (read American citizens') resources.

and, "friendly" means they were trying to get close to you to see what they could steal.....

I've said before, ANY UNDOCUMENTED (read illegal alien) that came here in the last 5 years needs to go home forthwith. No exceptions.

Amnesty in any form just keeps the problem perpetuating. People know to sneak in, lay low, until the next amnesty comes.

According to various government sources on the web, they do pay federal income taxes, state taxes, and payroll taxes which I think goes towards social security and medicare although they cannot collect either of them. The process seems kind of convoluted like they're not supposed to be working here but if they are they have to pay taxes. Anyhow it's all out there. They get a number for tax purposes using an ITIN form.

According to illegals I've worked with, no, they DON'T pay Federal, State, or income taxes. They get paid under the table... I think I'll believe the illegals...They seem to like bragging about how I'm an idiot for paying taxes.

But you go ahead & believe your Gov't...they would never lie to you...

I'm sure there are some undocumented workers that don't pay taxes. And I know a handful of born in the USA American citizens that get paid under the table and don't pay taxes. I also chose to believe that some sites from both sides are reliable when they state statistics from IRS.
