I was recently house hunting and mentioned looking down in the Seventh District area. A woman who happened to be standing near me chimed in and said they have irrigation issues down there. I asked for elaboration, but she said that's all she knew.

could anyone provide any insight?

Irrigation issues? Plenty of water down here, don't need to be piping any in. There a couple of nice places down here for sale, and don't even have to be related to anybody to buy them.

Big bargain here:

I really like the old school one. If I were younger/healthier/richer I would love it. Probably has a lot of history and maybe even some ghosts.

Hope you are doing well. That aside, I like that one as well...minus the ghost. I love fixing up old homes.

The ghosts are the best part! I renovated an old home years ago, but have since moved, and have collected antiques all my life. Ghosts are the least of our problems!

I'd be afraid of that one in Colton's Point. Bad neighborhood there...

Bunch blight ordinance poster children, I heard.

This IS a gorgeous house, as is the property. I remember oogling over it while we were searching through properties. BUT, this caught my eye:

NEW LOAN FINANCING MAY NOT BE FEASIBLE OTHER THAN A 203K, CASH PROBABLY MOST FEASIBLE.

Bummer.

That house was a family years ago. I'd love to be able to drop the cash and buy it back.
