Did you know they started as an outdoor outfitter?

A friend has a shotgun she is looking for info, the barrel is some rusty so the stamped brand was difficult to read. Sent a pic, I immediately saw abercrombie and fitch. I didn't believe it, so had to look it up. Made in Italy also stamped on the barrel.

History is so cool.

They were a high end outdoor retailer. Many of their shotguns can be worth big money (in the thousands) if in great condition. It may behoove your friend to take it to a reliable gunsmith for evaluation and possible restoration.
