Sorry if this is a duplicate thread, did a search before posting. Anyone have accent?? lighting on their bikes?? Might be the wrong word ( accent)
auxillary lighting , over the engine around the chrome diffferent colors??
Capable of changing randomly or staying the same color constantly?? Legal status with DMV, MSP or County PD's. The more i look at accent, i'm thinking linguistics, e.g mexican accent, Canadian accent SMD accent. might be searching by the wrong word. Doesn't broadcast in front or behind the bike mainly on the sides, and chrome, and above the engine. Seems to increase night time visibillity of the bike.

There were discussions about that. There were alot of restrictions, can't flash, can't change color, specific placement, I think there was a color restriction too, can't remember.

Yes, there are color restrictions. No blue or red.

Does anyone have them on their bikes?? Thinking mainly about the visibillity at night. Don't want anything flashing, don't want cars pulling up alongside going down the highway at 60+ and gawking at the lights and not paying attention to driving. Bike is a P.O.S. but it's mine not looking to draw attention to it, other than night time visibillity........
Have seen it on some bikes before going down the road, but their bikes were nicer than mine....

Why don't you get a reflective vest for at night and save yourself some money. MSF has them on their web site. :yay:

Accent Lighting on Motorcycles (LED Lights)

Yep, law for MD was passed back in June. There are some restrictions about color (no red or blue) and restrictions about flashing/blinking while you are moving. Overall, this is a good thing. Any means of increasing the visibility of a motorcycle on the road is a positive step towards making 4-wheelers more aware of bikes around them.

We have had a substantial increase in light installations since this law was passed (Wyked Illuzionz Motorcycle Lighting, Motorcycle LED Lights, Motorcycle Lights, Motorcycle LED Lighting). The latest and greatest are called Magical Wizard Lights. You can select any one of 7 colors while you are riding (although would not recommend selecting red or blue while moving) and then have the lights strobe, flash, and fade from one color to the next while you are parked.

This is good for the Maryland motorcycling community.

Thanks for the link been checking it out, more interested in the aspect of side view lighting versus reflective tape on the front and back of me. the driver. Was at aparty/picnic last night approx 100 + yards off the road and heard a scoot coming down the road was a harley with accent lighting green solid could see the side profile of the bike perfectly it was much more noticable than a bike that just had front head light and rear tail light on. Gonna look more in to it and probaly get it skipping red, and blue due to lgallity in favor of other colors that stand out in the dark. Once done will post pics.
