Most likely he lied to the dealer and never intended to get insurance...

And yup..looks like a direct head on...so 112 could be correct...

Hope the driver lives a long, long time in jail!!!!!!!
And now we find out that the driver is of course, in our country illegally. So with no insurance on the truck, this illegal alien is racking up quite a hospital bill that I guess we as taxpayers are supposed to pay. And when he goes to jail, we get to foot the bill for another illegal alien who shouldn't have been here in the first place. Great! :sarcasm:

Does anyone know the answer to this? It's obvious he'll be found guilty of multiple counts of vehicular manslaughter, among many other things no doubt. Am I correct to assume he does his jail time here in the U.S. instead of us deporting his sorry azz back to where he came from? Life in prison is pretty costly for us taxpayers, I'm sure.

He'd face his penalty right here in the US, then be deported. That means he'd be out of the country for a few weeks until he can sneak back in, get a new family and friends, get drunk, and kill all of them, too.

Hmmm, thanks for the info. Sadly, I don't know what I was hoping to hear as the response.

Do I want us to have to pay for him to rot in jail for the rest of his life? No, not really. There are too many financial burdons on society as it is, that are here legally. But at the same point, I don't feel as though he should just get away with multiple murders, although all four of the passengers were idiots to get into a truck with some drunk illegal alien. I still don't feel they deserved to die.

Oh well, I guess it doesn't really matter how I feel about it because my opinion won't change the outcome of this case. It's just a shame that he was the one who lived.

This thread has been confusing from the start, just how many people actually died in the accident?
St Marys Today reporting 2, but they are wrong more times then right about a story.
Cant say Ive seen anything on Baynet, and the Post hasnt even run the story, if they did I missed it.

I don't know, either. I've heard 2 people died and I've heard that 4 people died (everyone except the driver). There was a lot of speculation and inaccurate information given in the beginning and it never was cleared up. We certainly can't count on St Marys Today, that's for sure. I guess we'll eventually read an accurate account of what took place but who knows when that will be?

From the info that came across the scanner 2 people were dead on the scene.

Well, I'm sorry, but here is the latest news. I have always thought Norma is Christina's sister, but she is Eddie's sister and was not in the wreck nor was the one cousin that was believed to have been. Christina is in a deep coma with a 20% chance of recovery and it was her 17 year old sister Nadia that was killed. Not sure if the guy killed was the other cousin or Nidia's boyfriend. The two killed was in the back of the truck and yes they say Eddie was drunk.
We went down to look after taking with Norma and it looks like they was coming back and ran off the road, hit one tree and eitherbounce back into the road and ending up in a second tree. Not sure if the truck spun around but sure looks like it did for one to have been in the road and one in the woods. I have known Chrisitna and Norma for a little over 3 years now.

Nadia?

How much is the bet?

I'm thinking the driver does 6 months to a year. IF anything.

They may just deport him and call it a wash.

I was just reading that and ready to post the link. I don't think Debbie has her facts straight, nor did the poster that said a 43 year old female was deceased.
Great lesson learned for all we somd posters: Unless you're ACTUALLY involved and KNOW the FACTS, shaddup!
I agree, I think she heard from someone who heard from someone because she didn't even get most of the names right.
