Accident by Oakville Elementary

There are pictures on Hollywoods VFD website of the accident, I am a member of a FD in SoMd. and I believe that for the respect of the family some of the photo's should not have been posted. Would not be surprised if they get pulled off their website later today.
For pictures of the accident go to the Hollywood VFD, Hollywood, MD. website.
I wish somebody had said that earlier.

Nothing offensive is in the pictures. Offensive is when the victim is pictured being cut out of the vehicle (ie crash into a pole at Brass Rail with woman and infant being extricated) or pictures of shooting victims laying on the grass being tended by rescue squad in preparation for transport. The pictures from the HVFD point out that there were no trees blocking either drivers view and that the car was not struck by a dump truck as earlier reports had said, but by a full sized pick up truck. One person who was in the traffic back up from the accident mentioned the destruction of the windshield as though that was part of the accident but one can see by the pictures that the windshield removal was a point of extrication of the victim. The loss of a mother is so very sad and my heart goes out to her family and friends regardless of who was at fault or why this tradegy happened.

She is a wife and mother of three, two of whom attend Oakville Elementary. The oldest is in High School. She also lives in the house across the street from me. My daughter and hers play together regularly. This past Sunday, in fact, I took the girls to a baseball game.

Sad. Very sad. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I will let the family know.

Deepest condolences.. those poor kids - hope they didn't see it happen..

She just took over running the club house and community events in Hickory Hills.

My prayers go out to the family:huggy:may God be with them.

Too sad, she was a nice person that I enjoyed working with. I understand there will be a memorial fund set up at Md Bank & Trust.

If it's just the pic, I agree, but explaining that she pulled into traffic while her view was blocked might keep someone from doing the same.
We seem to have a lot of that here.
I don't think anyone in St. Mary's knows how to use the turn-arounds (or whatever they are called) properly. I avoid if at all possible just for this reason. Everyone tries to stack 3-4 cars in them and you cannot see oncoming traffic.

Thoughts and prayers to the family.

When there is a loss of life, any picture is offensive. Whether its a crack dealer or person of the year, there are people who don't want their loved ones pictures of their demise posted for all to see. I wish yall would keep your pics to yourself. Of course, thats just my opinion, not that its gonna do any good.
