Accident on RT6

Does anybody know what happened out on RT 6 near Zekiah Swamp today? I saw 3 Medivacs and they call the CC Sheriff’s Traffic Operations people out to investigate the accident.

it was a head on involving a charles county k-9 unit, someone crossed the center line. right near the bridges

You sure won't see anything on the Baynet about it, they are too busy with 20 different stories from the Tiki Bar, I think they have every Baynet employee down on the island covering this.

The St. Mary's Today is so full of S###! The accident was 2 cars. 1 was a police car with a police dog so that is why a K-9 officer was called to come get the dog. Why would animal control be called when another K-9 officer is better trained to handle the dog??? I would hope that if I were in an accident with my dog in the car that the police would let my husband or another family member get my dog rather than call a stranger to tie that pole to his neck and take him somewhere unfamillar when the dog is already shook up from the accident! The police officer was not trapped and neither was the dog. The accident was horrible and hopefully everyone will be alright. I don't know where the St. Mary's Today gets their crap from but they need to do some investigating before they write stuff like that. There is nothing on the CCSO website yet. But that will be the only way that you can get accurate info on the accident.

This is what the rag printed.
Officials called in a A K9 unit from Charles County Sheriff’s Office to restrain another dog in the crash. Typically, officials would use animal control if it was a citizen’s dog.

But I do agree with you on everything else you said.

also animal control at least in st marys only work 8/9 to 4/5 Monday through Friday. so even if they had called animal control out it would have been an extended eta. I think Charles is the same with here animal control

I see the driver of the vehicle has 12 traffic citations. 11 of them are active and within the last few months. I wonder if this will slow him down any. How on earth does someone 18 years old have a driving record like this and still have a license?

He previously caused personal injury by not staying in his lane. He should have been in jail not on the highway.
