what is it about that area that makes so many accidents?
I think we have had like 4 bad accidents around my area since 91.
Every day it seems that somewhere in SM there is another flyout, or roads closed etc...

It should be all clear now. I was headed that way but never made it. Ended up at the Tiki Bar in Solomons. Much better than sittin' in that traffic. Mai Tai's are $7 each now. Damn, they are good but I'm glad I don't go there too often. Oh, I can't stop myself. Their Mai Tais are like boobies. One is not enough. Three are too many.

roads designed to handle the traffic in 1978, well before people concieved of BRAC, now have to handle 2007 traffic volume.
Stupid drivers are bound to happen, but with the heavy volume of traffic on Rt 4 (between the bridge and 235, all those intersections with Rt 4 that don't signals are invitations to pull a boneheaded stunt.

Patuxent Beach Rd. is Rt. 4 from 235 to the bridge. North Patuxent Beach Rd. goes to Neptune's.

The crash was on Patuxent Beach Rd. at Kingston Creek Rd., which is where Shady Mile Dr. used to connect.
