Update?

Any update on this? There was a Medevac helicopter that just left the scene, so if it's the same accident, I don't think it was just proprty damage.

The same accident 2 days later??

Oops. :blushing: I didn't look at the date... Only the title. Funny though, because the accident (or whatever) were right around the same time. Heard sirens about 6:20-6:25 and then the helo came in about 10-15 minutes later. Oh, well. :lmao:

I think that intersection is one of the worst in the county (particularly southbound). One of the reasons I don't ever stop into that pool store is because of that. Cars fly over that southbound hilltop just before Mt Harmony Road, and sometimes there just isn't enough time to accelerate from a complete stop.

Also difficult to turn left onto Mt Harmony (short deceleration lane and high-speed tailgaters).

Agree Rael, very bad intersection, always has been bad and just gotten worse over the years with the increase in traffic. Had to double check, that is going back 27 years...

And conversely, I've been a part of the pack heading southbound (to the other pool place) and come over the top of that hill only to see someone jump out of the pool place, crossing both southbound lanes in order to get to Mt. Harmony or turn onto Rt 4 northbound. :yikes:

Actually seems safer to do that then just get on RT 4. I dread going to that pool store, but risk it because I have been unhappy with the other place.

Agree. It is one of the worst in the north end of the county. Unfortunately, nothing will happen to fix the situation until a few people are killed (and even then it will be a battle). That intersection carries all of the Beaches residents who shop in Dunkirk (Safeway, Giant, Walmart, etc.), so it is getting increased traffic as the population grows. It's only a matter of time and it scares me to death every time I use it.
