Acoustic Guitar Lessons

My son, who will be 8 in a few weeks, is interested in guitar lessons. Any recommendations for instructors and/or shops. We live in California, but willing to travel for a good instructor.

My daughter took a year of lessons with a small group of kids when she was at Carver. She learned to basics and a few chords. Try asking if the school has a guitar class.

My friend at work takes her daughter to guitar lessons. They live in Wildwood. I'll ask who she uses.

I take lessons there also. They have 3 instructors there, Wally and Josh both seem to do really well with young kids, I don't really know much about the other instructor there as he is kinda new.

My son has been taking drum lessons there since Sept......he loves it and his instructor is great....I would suggest you try there.....we have been happy!!!

Son is enrolled at the charter school, no instruction unitl 3rd grade. Figured I would go ahead and get him started now, especially since his interest is perked.

My son plays air guitar...lol! He's 3 1/2. When he gets older i think i am going to get lessons for him. He also plays rock band. He seems to really like it.
