Has anyone else seen this? I watched it last night, not really expecting to like, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Excellent vocals, complimentary portrayal of the progression of the the '60's in song. I love the Beatles and was not put off by any of the artistic liberties taken..okay, maybe one wasn't all that great, but overall, good entertainment.

I watched it with my 14 yr old Friday night. We both enjoyed it. This was her first exposure to the lyrical side of the Beatles rather than the "pop" side she hears on the radio and in advertisments. I loved the covers and thought the artist all did a great job. The highlight for me was when my daughter recognized Bono first by his voice then facial recognition... no Jonas Brothers for my chicko!

I didn't even recognize Bono. I knew Joe Cocker immediately.

Remember when the bus stopped and the Crazy hippy Dr. Roberts start singing "I am the Walrus"... that was Bono. I missed Joe Cocker! Now I have to watch it again!

Edited: Wait! I remember starring at one dude and trying to figure out who he was because he seemed so familiar.... I'll bet that was him!

Joe Cocker portrayed 3 different characters.

I didn't recognize his face, but his voice, then the spaztic arm movements.

Something that I thought was really cool, is that Jim Sturgess (Jude) somewhat favors a young Paul McCartney, and in some songs even sounded quite a bit like him.
