The news chick on Fox is pissing me off with all her stupid questions and comments. She's trying very hard to get one of the commentators to say that gun laws need to be stricter but none of them are cooperating.

Watching on CNN. Could have been a lot worse. No consolation to those who lost loved ones I know, but still true. This world has gone nuts.

MSNBC's coverage is comical. Apparently you can walk in to a gun store in the mall, buy a gun and ammo, load up, walk out and fire away. And we need more restrictive gun laws.

This is impossible. The new gun laws that just went into effect were supposed to stop these things.

This must really be from a place with fewer gun laws. Like Texas.

Shot gun was the weapon they are reporting....

Press conference at 4 didn't yield much. The deceased, male/female, were employees of a skate store above the food court. They haven't released their names yet. The shooter was also a male, had a large amount of ammo, and they are not sure if he worked at the store. His name hasn't been released either.

I have 'thoughts & concerns' but I'll save them to see if there is any basis for my gut feeling...

My point is, if Maryland residents were allowed to CCW, someone could have stopped this maniac before he killed two innocent people.

The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.:buddies:

Speculation. You don't know that. This was obviously an ambush situation. He did what he did then took care of himself.

Yes... I agree CCW could save lives in these situations but it made me cringe when they said it was a shot gun... because those are fairly easy to obtain and I'd hope it would stay that way.

Unconfirmed but they did report earlier a witness said the shooter came out of the back of the store or out of the dressing room... it sounds like it was contained to the store and just outside the store.

btw, the names have been released on the store employees

It wasn't that long ago I saw the story of Sylvia Seegrist on I.D., she killed 3 people and wounded 7 others in 1985 in PA mall... she walked from store to store just firing at people, some she missed, some she hit...An unarmed employee thought she was effing around, grabbed the weapon out of her hand and once he had it, he saw that this was real... they cuffed her and the tax payers are going to support her for the rest of her life.

If just one person was armed... just 1... perhaps she wouldn't have killed a little 2 year old. :ohwell:
