I've been reading about a lot of large companies skipping Vista and waiting for the next version of windows. They can't deal with the inherent problems with Vista and really see no reason (benefits) to moving to Vista. Interesting...

It's a Gateway.
I don't mind Vista, but I had no idea it took so much memory to run. There's no way someone could use Vista on dial up, it would take ages to do anything. It has all this extra crap you don't need.

I can see why people are waiting.

The next version of Windows (I think they plan on calling it Windows 7 - formerly known as Blackcomb and Vienna) will also be memory intensive and consequently eat up dialup. Unfortunately, the BIG SHOTS can't imagine people using dial-up (because they have high speed internet). They just don't understand that many users simply don't have access to Cable or DSL (and Satellite isn't even an option with his crappy speed, etc.).

I have Vista, Flash Player works just fine.

Only thing I can't get to work with Vista is Outlook 2003.

We're sticking with XP until the bitter end. Most computers we have don't even run XP very well. They'd :dead: with Vista on 'em.

I had trouble auto installing Flash 9 running XP. After downloading I had to run C:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash and then launch the application. It's worked fine since.
