An adventurer, Gabor Rakonczay, has beaten the odds to become the first person to paddle solo across the Atlantic Ocean in a canoe.
After being isolated for 76 days, the 30 year-old entered the record books as the first man to paddle from Europe to the Caribbean amid fears he had drowned at sea.
His feat was achieved against the odds after his 24.6 foot-long canoe, specially designed for the nearly 3500-mile journey, capsized twice in heavy seas and he went missing for six weeks.
