Adventures in Dog Park!!

First on Friday afternoon I took him for a walk down to the beach. The beach where I live is open to dog's again. So Tug's decided to play in the little stream. He was splashing and rolling in the water. I thought boxer's didn't like water that much... Then I had taken my shoes off to get across the stream, well Tug's thought it would be funny at that moment to knock me off my balance, splash goes the shoes...

I took Tug's to the Dog Park on Saturday afternoon. He has been cooped up at the vet's for 10 days, so those legs needed to stretch. I took him there and he had the time of his life. He ran in circles, jumped over other doggies, ran around like a fool. I put him in the backseat of the car, and he crashed. He was out like a light.

He made a new friend there, another puppy his own age. SO...we made plans to have them get together in a couple of weeks to play more.

Where is there a dog park

White Plains Park, also Quiet Waters in Annapolis.

They are both a drive, but to give Tug's running time I don't mind driving at all.

Where exactly is the dog park in White Plains? I live over by Westlake Highschool. Are there certain rules at dog parks? Is the place fenced in? Can you let them run free? Do you have to pick up there poop?

It is at the White Plains Park - where the golf course is, and driving range. It is back near the football fields.

Place is fenced in, you have to pick up dog your own poop from your dog. They provide special little bags and trash.

They have a small dog area, and a big dog area. I am taking Tug & Dixie there on Sunday.

Is this park located on Turkey Hill Road (I think that's the road). This road is right before the road to turn down to go towards CSM. My dog is a 35lb. Terrier Mix. I wouldn't consider him large or small - he's in the middle range.

I guess there is 2 dog parks..because one is called Turkey Hill. There is the link, and that will tell the locations.

The middle range usually go in the big area, because the little dog area is for little doggies like pugs chichi's.

No pits are allowed there at all it is posted on the outside, and same with aggressive dogs.

Here is a link.

Go figure!! Bunch of :dork:!! Thanks for pointing that out and for posting the link (*and puppies under four (4) months of age are prohibited*) I would have been some kinda po'ed if I drove all the way up there and then found out I couldn't take my pit mix and 12 wk old puppy in.

I don't know why they wouldn't let pit mixes in, since Precious is so CUTE.

Just because a dog is a pit, doesn't mean it is aggressive.

I would have posted the link earlier, but didn't think of it until this am.
