Depends on the airline. Delta still has free sodas water and SOME free snacks, not much.!
Don't fly Delta. My boss flys Delta, now I see why. :smack:

I usually fly US AIR, Southwest. They suck

But you could always pay $1000 more and get gree $7 drinks in first class!
I have asked the company to try and get me either the window or the aisle. I hate the middle seat. :duel:

Never flew 1st class.

You can be barred from the flight if you are deemed too drunk.

It's obvious that flying is safer than driving. Have you ever seen a wrecked car on the side of the road? Of course you have. Have you ever seen a plane stuck up in the air? Of course not.

I guarantee that your plane will come back down. Eventually.

Just bring your favorite magazine or book & your iPod and relax. It'll be fine. I wouldn't recommend consuming alcohol, though. Like someone else said, you don't know if you'd get sick.

Taking off is awwwwwwwwesome! I'd love to just do touch & go's all day. It's the best part of flying. :yay:

In My Opinion
Is it this airline? - Yeah.
Okay, fine. We can-- There's an American plane.
American flight 625...
crashed April 27, 1976.
We don't have to take American. There's a lot of flights.
Pick another airline.
- Continental. We'll take Continental. - Continental crashed November 15, 1987.
Flight 1713. 28 casualties.
- This is very serious. - Yeah, very serious.
I have to get to Los Angeles. So you're gonna get on that plane.
- Do you understand me? - Yeah.
- You have to get on a plane. - Yeah.
Now, there's a Delta.
- Yeah. - It leaves at midnight.
How's Delta?
Delta crashed August 2, 1985. Lockheed L-1011.
Dallas-Fort Worth. Terrible wind shear.
- All airlines-- - 135 passengers.
All airlines have crashed at one time or another.
That doesn't mean that they are not safe.
- Quantas. - Quantas?
Quantas never crashed.

K MART SUCKS!!!!

From Larry:

Here's the deal; MOST of the risk is taking off and the first few minutes until you get some speed and altitude and then again when landing, slowing down, maintaining control. That's when the plane is most vulnerable if something were to break or fail or if the pilots mess up.

So, when you're sitting on the runway and they start to spool 'em up and then let the brakes go and begin the roll out, start counting. And talk to the engines. I personally cheer 'em on; "Come on, baby, you can do it!!!! Go, go, go!!!!"

At around 30 seconds, you should feel the front wheel coming off the ground and the plane will begin to nose up. This is good but also terribly vulnerable because now it is all or nothing; too late to stop. My knuckles are usually turning white at this point.
From Denver:
737 Catches Fire On Takeoff At DIA, Plunges Into Ravine - Denver News Story - KMGH Denver

The sequence of the events remains unclear but airport officials said the Boeing 737 had traveled 2,000 feet down the runway when it suddenly veered 200 feet from Runway 34 Right and down a ravine.

It's not clear if the plane ever got off the ground but debris scattered on the runway indicate that it had lifted off, at least briefly, said Denver Fire Department Division Chief Patrick Hynes.

"The plane's wheels had completely sheared off," Hynes said.

...you've certainly earned enough points here lately; make BS go get it. No sense taking unnecessary risks...
He doesn't have to go get it. That's Rassie's job. And she's great at it, well, except when the paper slips out of the plastic bag onto the wet pavement.

Summer!!!!
As in my experience in flying......they'll probably be a crash about 2 days before you board....never fails....:coffee:
You know, you're kind of scary... don't predict anything for me, okay?:killingme

Hubby had to fly to Pensacola a week after that plane crashed into the 14th St. bridge in DC (blamed on the ice on the wings). I was a nervous wreck at the airport waiting for his flight, watching them de-ice the wings twice! Those memories did not help at all when I took my first flight many years later (to Ireland, over the ocean!). I would have walked if I could have!

im so freaking out...

HELP. :cds:

its a non-stop flight for 2 1/2 hours.
I was told to get drunk before i go :buddies:
and play my ipod and i'll be there in a jiffy.
I know when I fly, I really try to be seated next to the guy that reeks of stale booze. Makes the flight so much more enjoyable as I sit there and do the dry heave.
