Give it 25 years and there will be more. Reputations of films can change so much. For example, today, it's hard to believe Citizen Kane lost the Academy Award for Best Picture to How Green Was My Valley.

00 films I wouldn't be surprised to see on the list eventually: The Aviator, Brokeback Mountain, Crash, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, The Departed, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Gangs of New York, Gladiator, Little Miss Sunshine, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Lost in Translation, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Memento, Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River, The Pianist, The Queen, Requiem for a Dream, Sideways, and Traffic all come to mind. All widely accepted as modern classics which will find their place on best-of-all-time lists eventually.

Best movie lists are purely subjective although I do agree with the majority of them on that list and have seen most of them. But I didn't care much for "Titanic" although a lot of people absolutely LOVED it.

True but I've found just because a movie is "popular" doesn't mean it's a GREAT flick. Hence the success of ones like Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell movies. Great for a few hours of mind-numbing entertainment but very little redeeming cinematic qualities.

I'm sure politics does play some part in it as it does in most things anymore. I personally don't give a rat's ass about that aspect of it.

I'm sure there are quite a few people that were miffed because they didn't include a film they thought was the best of all time. When you limit it to 100 out of all the thousands of films that have been made over the years, more than a few "on the edge" didn't make the final cut.

I am sad The Thin Red Line missed the list. It's my favorite war movie (it depicts the Battle of Guadalcanal). Unfortunately, it came out the same year as Saving Private Ryan and has been overshadowed by it ever since.

I would have also loved to see a recent comedy on there: O Brother, Where Art Thou?, with George Clooney. I swear, this is the funniest and most creative comedy of the last decade. I never tire of it.

I was also surprised to see Vertigo above Psycho. Not annoyed (in my opinion, Vertigo is Alfred Hitchcock's best film and James Stewart's best performance), but surprised since Psycho is the more iconic film.

I find it strange Citizen Kane of all films has become the standard best-film-of-all-time selection. It's great, of course, and revolutionary in many respects, but better than Raging Bull? C'mon!

I'm glad to see that my man *THE Mr. Cary Grant* and my favorite gal *Kate Hepburn* made the list a few times. There are a few modern day actors of their calibur that will shine, I'm sure, as well as the films in which they star.

I agree with Dot, there are many amazing films that will represent in the coming decades. There seems, to me, to be a paternal feeling about the recipients and an old school mentalitity - which can be a good thing. There are simply a select few films that far exceed the parameters of grandfather thinking and will have to be accepted as such and honored.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't care for the movie. I've tried to watch it several times and have never made it all the way through it.

I loved Pulp Fiction. It's unique and hugely entertaining, in my opinion. So many quotable lines too.

Though my favorite movie from 1994 is The Shawshank Redemption. Can't believe it lost the Best Picture Oscar to Forrest Gump.
