It sticks me funny bone. Got to watching the original series Roots recently. I was amazed how they portrayed the indigenous black folk, ah Africans, way back in the 1700's in the 70's. It seems that Africans had some really nice well built mud huts with thatched roofs, manicured lawns, regular threaded clothes, and with lots of yard birds too. And apparently they were Muslim as well.
