I'd do away with lobbyists and the blatantly biased MSM, then let the chips fall where they may.

Here's the thing: you can't dummy-proof elections any more than anything else. There are too many dummies. Creative dummies who will dummy something it never occurred to you could even BE dummied.

We'd get people coming into the resort who would look at the "OUT OF ICE" sign on the door, then come in and ask for 2 bags of ice. This is the caliber of human we're talking about and there's literally nothing you can do to make them more aware, all you can do is take away the corrupt influences so they have a fighting chance.

Just remove seniority from Congress - the critters will have NO REASON to stick around

alrite. You dodged a bullet on that one....

But seriously, those are great suggestions but that's where they will stay. You can't get three politicians to agree on ANYTHING, so a modification to the Constitution may never happen.
No dodging, it seemed nonsensical to me. Taking anything with AOC in it goes into the round file.
Agreed on getting them to agree but nothing happens without trying. With LUCK Trump will have super majority that might consider it.

Add enough additional qualifications and you may well end up with a permanent version of what we have - a placeholder President.

All congressional staffers must be removed from their positions and placed elsewhere in the Government. They wield too much power and influence and have become entrenched.

That's our problem......... not enough qualifiers IMO. In theory AOC or crazy Aunt Ester can run as it is now, how many nuts are out there, she would get 100% of them.

I can't recall a super majority in the House. Been a while for the Senate, and that looks mostly impossible this time around.

To my knowledge, the Republicans have NEVER had a supermajority in the Senate, But they have had 3/5 majority - "filibuster proof" - early last century. The Dems have had it OFTEN - during parts of FDR and Ike's administrations.

And as far as I can tell, the GOP has NEVER had a supermajority in the House, although the Dems have had it a few times - under FDR and Kennedy and Johnson. Last time ANY party had one in the House was under Jimmy Carter.

So I'm not seeing that happening again.

I don't know why, but it is exceedingly rare for anyone in the House to lose their seat. Even in BIG SHIFT years, like 1994 - most of the time, better than 85-95% of Congressman keep their seat.

And see, that's up to the voters. When it comes to Congress, I think Congress OUGHT to be made up of ordinary people - well, EDUCATED persons, but from all walks of life. There's no reason, therefore why they can't elect someone dumb as a post - but at least the voters choose the dumb as a post person.

Note I said WITH LUCK, most anything can happen like even a shiit team like the Clowns in Cleveland winning the SB. Not likely but in theory........

Sure, it's up to the voters and the pool even WITH IQ and dementia qualifiers would be quite large. If they existed we wouldn't be discussing a president with a IQ lower than Gumps.
Would GW qualify? Probably so, not many could have about 500 hours in a century series fighter and be stupid.

Testing is subjective.
Military and family stationed overseas disqualified?
Military service to become full citizen?

We knew he was mental deficient in 2020 but the other mental deficients voted for him.

Joe was deficient before he entered public office for the first time.
