I am thinking about building some agility equipment for my GF so she can have her own course. Does anyone know where I can find the AKC specifications on the obstacles?? Like the A frame, How tall, how wide, length of the base?? I found a few sites that show you how to build the stuff but didn't really give standard specs. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think that in a competition the equipment would have standard specifications.

One of my friends has been putting in a lot of calls to trainers in Calvert, putting our feelers out, so to speak.. I, too, am interested in training, though not at home, so I am trying to do the "kill two birds with one stone".
The other call I made was to my ex. I think that he should still have a lot of the agility info stored from when we considered getting Nikolai into it. He left a return message with an unrelated answer (email address for a friend) but forgot to address the agility questions.
I tried to follow up with him twice yesterday - we talk on a fairly regular basis - but I did not get a reply.. Thus I am assuming he was up to his ass in work or got lucky and was up to his chin in ass, being that it was VD!
So, will keep you posted! I may have time today to knock my brain loose and see if I can remember some info sites!

Ok Thanks. My GF wants to eventually have her own Kennel, do grooming, and stuff like that. She has one dog now with a CD and she is trying to train her other dog for it now. She wants to get them into agility so I figure building it would be a good project for the two of us.virgovictoria said:
