Do they need to purchase tickets from scalpers in order to get in and play?
First, I don't think they do that any more. Now it's a big ass professional show, pregame, halftime and post game.
Second it said 50 Calvert County students, it did not mention a particular High School or group.
I can tell you from my experience, that if a school group was asked to participate in some sort of activity, they needed permission from the school board to go, and they had to raise their own funds.

I wonder if they will be using the DIE criteria to choose those 50 students? Ya know, Diversity, Inclusion, Equity? Taking all bets now. I'm betting there will be very few White students picked. Or, they will use the ratio of black nfl football players to choose the students.
Or will they be using a merit based system to choose each student? I know, I know, I made a funny.
As an aside .... The public school system in Calvert County needs moar money. They got teachers and chit for to pay dunchano?

I think what we have here are two threads on the same topic, or at least they crossed streams - highly dangerous.
I saw in the other thread, not sure of accuracy, that they have sold this as an educational outing, hiring a renowned guest speaker.
IF they go through with the farce, I would cut $1M out of next years budget to repay the taxpayers for the fraud, waste and abuse.
I'm sure there are other agencies / departments in the Calvert County government that could but $400K to good use.

Funny. I've never heard of him. Motivational speakers such a Tony Robbins, Magic Johnson, Dave Ramsey, sure. But the guy they chose to spend money on is an affirmative action grifter.
So he used the grant administrators, hired by the school system, to get a "grant" so he could go to the super bowl.
The useless County Commissioners should make it a one way ticket.
I think if this involved a evangelical christian superintendent, who was taking a select group of students to the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster PA, or out to Branson MO, they would be fired.
