Applebys in Prince Frederick is about to close, employee shortage
Bob Evans, no too far behind
Last week I tried to arrange a dinner for 12 at Rips in Bowie, the manager apologized profusely but said due to an employee shortage, he couldnt seat more then 6.
Panda Express in PF may get 12 orders a day...

Good job feds, good job

Motivated restaurant workers who got laid off had time to get themselves into more stable and hopefully better paying jobs. Unmotivated workers had time to learn to live off the government dole.

After my colonoscopy a few weeks ago, my husband drove us to Bob Evans. It was the worst meal I have had in a long time. I usually don't eat at chains because their food generally sucks and I prefer to support locally owned businesses however this breakfast- especially after not eating for two days- was awful.

The Bob Evans in St. Mary's used to be pretty good. It was one of those places that a family of 4 could all get something they liked and wouldn't break the bank. I mainly stuck with breakfast foods no matter what time of day we went.

Another way to look at this is that these business have a failed business plan. If the only way to enrich the owners is to offer low compensation for labor provided, business fails. Compensate more, get more people that want to work.

It's a problem when Applebees is paying employee $7.25 an hour and they go somewhere else where they can earn $12.

Thats not an employee shortage thats a pay problem.

What did the feds do to cause this?

Speaking of restaurants. Found out that maybe China, or possibly their agents, owns The Pier property in Solomons, purchased in 2019. By a Jingjing Wu and/or a Guanglong Li, registered under LXGT-B, LLC with the California Secretary of State registration entity number of 201901410188 with an address of 6261 Golden Lily Way San Diego CA 92130. Funny how The Pier is directly across from a Naval Air Testing Station.

Btw, The Pier's address is 14575 Solomons Island Rd Solomons 20688 if'in ya wanna take a gander.
