This from the first link

I'm sorry, but could you confirm what I just read? Air France flights have been intercepted and escorted "several times a day" ? and another flight in bound from Mexico as well?

How long has this been going on and is this being reported by any media anywhere?

Wow that was pretty impressive, but from reading the posts I guess its standard now for all flights from France and Mexico.

Shows it has arrived. Nothing about a force down or anything. I guess we are escorting a few flights that originate outside the USA.

What's to freak out about? For me it is a sound precautionary event. You know, it's not like the days when the Red Menace would make practice bombing/cruise missile runs against the eastern US and we would intercept and escort them.

Now that would tighten the old sphincter a notch or two.
