Airfryer

IMHO, I don't think they are worth it. I fry fish and/or French fries in my deep fat fryer filled with canola oil and use less than 16 grams of oil consistently during frying. Heavily battered items do soak up more oil, but I avoid them. It depends on your food choices and using the right temperature oil. I am a calorie-counting maniac dieter who weights, measures and records everything I consume.

It's just one opinion.

Well... too late now. I read reviews all over and went ahead and decided to jump... it should be in by the end of the week. I got a Phillips airfryer that was on sale, $90.00 off. If it goes badly, I will have a $150 piece of kitchen equipment I don't use that will tuck nicely with the food processor I only use 1 or 2 times a year. :ohwell:

Seems I am a bit late since you already pulled the trigger. I have found that air fryers are pretty good at cooking items already lightly oiled and usually meant for baking in the oven. Mostly frozen french-fries and tater tots, those sorts of things. While you can definitely use it for more than that, I usually prefer something else (actual deep fryer, toaster oven, etc.).
