Al dente spaghetti

I’m solidly in Camp @vraiblonde ! Eating pasta should not make my jaw tired.

As I have heard, the term “al dente “, Italian “to the tooth”, originally meant “cooked to your preference” — so for Vrai and me, it would mean soft, for others it means firmer, etc.🤓
With time, and adopted to contemporary American cuisine, the term started to mean only firm consistency, and now even migrated back to Italy.

I like the original meaning — we are all freakin’ adults here, and should be able to eat food the way we like it, not having to suffer somebody’s definition of “proper consistency “.
