Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tips ignorant hat once again

Once upon a time, Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska and ex-vice presidential candidate, called out the government-run health care plan known as Obamacare for its death panels — or, in bureaucratic lingo, its Independent Payment Advisory Board — and for that, was soundly mocked and scorned by both members of the media and Democrats.

Now, one of the left’s own darlings, the newly elected congresswoman from New York, socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is using Palin’s line to describe private health care plans as a means of advancing her own policy pursuit of “Medicare for all,” which is to say taxpayer-funded Medicare for each and every American.

What are you freaks so afraid of? Why are you wringing your hands and wetting your panties over an individual who was elected to Congress but hasn't even been sworn in?

When she gets to DC she will have no power, no leverage, no massive national following of people clamoring for support of her ideas (whatever they may be).

Why are you so afraid of her? Is it because she is a woman or is it because you are too stupid or tooo gullible to understand that she has no real power?

What makes you think anyone is afraid? We're mocking her stupidity, not afraid of her.

It's like being afraid of Joe Biden or Dan Quayle or any of a long line of people of all political stripes that are so stupid it hurts to know our tax dollars pay their salary.

You need to learn the difference between fear and derision.

Well, I'm freaking terrified of AOC. When a voting district elects someone like her, or Maxine Waters, or Hank Johnson, or that Swallwell person - people who are so stunningly stupid and completely ignorant - it scares the chit out of me. There's something to be said for putting restrictions on voting rights when a segment of our country is dumb enough to elect people like this to Congress.

I understand that we are a Republic, and morons and criminals are to have equal representation, but when our media is so heavily slanted toward destroying the US, and they control the mindless masses so completely, it might be time to address that.

Are you kidding me? Sarah Palin *LOST* an election, where she was second on the ticket TEN YEARS AGO - hasn't held elective office SINCE -
and you guys STILL can't stop with her.

Has there EVER - EVER - been a losing VP candidate where the opposition just can't give it up?

Thing is with AOC is that she does in fact represent a part of a movement within the Democratic Party, and her views are perfectly aligned with it.
She also grew up in a generation famous for their collective ignorance of civics.

It's not "fear" - it's hilarity.

And she proves it almost every single day, in her own words written and spoken by her. Her haters don't even have to tweak or clip or manipulate like the Dems do - her Twitter account is a goldmine for them. That someone so damn ignorant is a US Congressperson scares the crap out of me. So for me, yeah, it's fear. Is this where we're going, the Idiocracy route?

You're right, I am afraid, one laughing himself to death could be a painful way to go.

It's typical liberal response - can't win the argument, change the narrative.

If you don't want illegals in here, it's because you hate people of color -
actually, hate is the first place they go when they don't have an answer.
If you're laughing at the incredible ignorance of a newly elected Socialist, it's "fear".
Has nothing to do with saying stuff so stupid you'd laugh at anyone who said them.

Imagine that there are people who think beyond the current news cycle. Imagine there are people who look further into the future than the next presidential election. Imagine there are even people out there who try to see and hold hope out for the future beyond their own generation - and their kids generations. Imagine someone who is looking to their own old age, and instead of seeing hope of a peaceful glide into that dark goodnight, they see their home collapse and taking out everything they love along with it.

I'm not going to speak for anyone else, however I, personally, am not so much afraid of her as I am of what she stands for. I find her - as a present danger - to be somewhat amusing rather than frightening. She comes off (to me) as an idealistic child amazed and hopeful for the hundred-billion-jillion people in America who she's going to fix with her good intentions. But what she represents is a future congress full of blisteringly ignorant, entitled solipsists. And that scares the absolute #### out of me.

This woman is staggeringly ignorant on economics and the workings of government. Not naïve. Not overly hopeful.

IGNORANT.

Staggeringly.

Staggeringly ignorant.

Mind-blowingly, inconceivably, staggeringly ignorant.

It's not because she's a woman. I've seen vaginas before. They're not that scary.
And I am sure you, in your unfathomable intelligence, would disagree, but I'm satisfied with my intelligence enough to say with a degree of confidence that I'm not stupid or gullible.

It's because I read what she says - I put thought about it farther into the future than my own wee-wee reaches. And the implications are incredibly dire.

I'm with you on this, Vrai. That she has more social media followers than all the other new, incoming Dem reps combined is astounding. Granted, some of the followers are news orgs, some track her for snark/amuement, etc. But for the vast majority she is seen as some sort of cool chic chick and apparently that appeals to a broad demographic of the Democrats.

I don't see people being frightened. I see them being entertained.
It may not be morally right to laugh at people because of their stupidity, but it does happen.

You should know that since you are so often laughed at here.

You mean just like you morons who voted for Trump? So you are saying their should be an IQ test or at least a test of your general understanding of the Three branches of government before you are allowed to vote in moron like him?

I thought you were the one who always cried because people said only the uneducated voted for Trump.

Now you re saying that the largely educated and middle class that voted for AOC isn't smart enough?

So we should just leave voting to the millionaires and billionaires who surely have your best interest at heart?
