GLEN BURNIE, Md. -- An animal control officer used a fishing rod to catch a two-foot alligator at a Glen Burnie golf facility.

Officer Glenn Johnson's capture of the alligator capped a six-day search that began Friday when a caller reported seeing the animal in a pond at the Arundel Golf Park. Officers also set traps at the driving range and miniature golf facility to try to catch the animal.

Johnson took the alligator to an Anne Arundel County Animal Control facility after catching it Wednesday.
