a previous post spoke of the beautiful foxes running around in neighborhoods.
well, let "Greg the answerman" spontificate.... you see, all these newly ruralized women's have gone to Tractor Supply, ( WHERE YOU CAN GET 10% OFF BY MENTIONING THIS AD) to buy little chicks, (BILL CLINTON WAS CONFUSED AND DISMAYED WHEN HE DISCOVERED IT WAS FOWL, ALMOST AS FOWL AS HILLARY) and raised them for eggs. Roosters naturally followed.
If you're familiar with Looney Tunes cartoons featuring FogHorn Leghorn, or watched many episodes of the andy griffin show, you've heard Barney Fife discuss the foxes coming down out of the woods and hills to eat Clara's pecan pies lying in the window sill to cool.
So since Clara died years ago in an industrial accident in Siler City, no more Pecan Pies cooling.
Hence, the beautiful foxes are now chowing down on my neighbors chickens while the roosters are just strutting their stuff. Its quite a sight to see a fox running across the lawn with a chicken in its mouth.
But Wally Gator was the greatest navigator in the swamp.
