My 18 month old son made me LOL just right now. He was sitting next to me trying to get his hand down my shirt (he is just recently weaned) saying 'momma'--which is what he used to say when he wanted to nurse.
So I started pointing to my face saying 'momma' hoping to change the association with the word momma and he shakes his head and points to my chest and says 'no, momma'!
:ohwell: :killingme

I started a gradual weaning process at 12 months....he fought it tooth and nail!! He is a stubborn little boy. Finally I just got tired of it (and AF came back) and force weaned him. It was a week from hell.

:lmao: My son's "just like a man" story...

I tell him "I love you, baby" and he goes "Great. Thanks!" :roflmao: Yesterday I told him I loved him and he goes "Yeah..." and then 2 minutes later says "I love you" back.

Was just watching NatGeo Taboo the other night about just that.
When is it time to wean?
I nursed mine too but stopped at a year

I know. There are so many different standards. Here in the US it seems 6-12 months is the norm, but the WHO says 2 years.
