I thought they said 44 hours in a simulator?

I also think crews have stayed up longer in actual flight in a B-52.

If I had her email, I'd send her your coordinates.

Multiple crews on Board is how they do it on C17 missions. Dunno why they wouldn't have, or couldn't have done the same on the older birds.

Has the endurance record of the Key Brothers, Fred and Algene, ever been topped? They flew a Curtiss Robin J1 Deluxe for 27 days at Meridian, Mississippi from June 4, 1935 to a landing on July 1, 1935.

When I flew as mission crew our aircraft (E3A - modified Boeing 707-320B) was limited by engine oil consumption at 24 hours. Anything scheduled over 16 hours required an augmented flight crew. My longest flight was 18.8 hours with four refuelings.

My longest flight on a P-3 was 14.7 hours and that was too long.
