Not sure why I feel like being nice and generous lately. I actually thought about donating one of my old video game systems with a ton of games and 4 controllers to some underprivileged kids (or like the ones that had their house burn down in Mechanicsville not that long ago).

Whoever is causing this loss of character should be tarred and feathered. Shame on you.

This should pass soon.

Estimate the value and then write it off next year's taxes. That should awaken your dormant "self serving" gene.

Funny you should say this. I did my own taxes and owed a good bit; took them to a CPA that works for me on the side and now I'm getting the same amount back in a refund.

For sure, next year I'm going to prepare taxes for a minimal fee. If it's just W-2's it's a cakewalk....but when you have 1099's and Schedule C/D to contend with, the headache is better left with someone else.

Well if you doing taxes would result in having to owe $$ why would anyone hire you? :shrug: Your record doesn't sound too good. :razz:

I got an original xbox, 64, PS1.

Are you serious about donating. If so, send me a private message about a reputable donation stream so I can be assured its going to the right places.

I got a bunch of other stuff too left over from the move from the Navy.

I am aware of the usual charities, but if there any specific local ones, let me know.
