I'm not a person who buys stuff just because it's on sale, but most people are or they wouldn't have Black Friday and Prime Day. "Yay! I can save $50 on this TV!" Do you need a TV? "No, but I can save $50!"

I do my birthday and Christmas shopping if I see something that would make a nice present. I just bought myself a nice pair of bedroom slippers for $42 that are normally $59 I needed a new pair for this winter anyway

Oh I agree. It's why most Prime Days go by without me buying anything.

On the other hand if I see a REALLY good bargain at the store for say, ribeye steaks selling under five a pound or ground beef selling under 1.50 a pound - I will buy them all. THAT, I can store in the freezer. Store checkers in the area that know me know, most meat that comes down the belt is GOING to be on sale.
