I'm waiting for Hemi to tell me what to think about this.

Amazon reportedly shut down a customer's smart home after the delivery driver claimed he heard a racial slur coming through the doorbell, even though no one was home.

Brandon Jackson, of Baltimore, Maryland, came home on May 25 to find that he had been locked out of his Amazon Echo, which many devices, including his lights, are connected to.

He would later learn that Amazon locked him out of his account after a delivery driver dropped off a package the day before. Jackson, an engineer at Microsoft, said 'everything seemed fine' after the package arrived at his home and had initially thought he was locked out because someone had tried to 'access my account repeatedly, triggering a lockout.'

yes - you all keep embracing and relying on this technology to control your lives and you will soon find out how great it is! I have a thermostat and a refrigerator that is NOT connected in any way to the internet or big brother. Other than my wife's and my own smartphones, no listening devices or fancy smancy doorbells or internet connect security cameras at my house, that I know of. I have enough problems as it is with government agencies and postal facilities and digital alarm clocks and blinking VCRs - I don't need Microsoft or Google causing me anymore headaches.

I have a smart phone that people keep texting me about my extended submersible...er, truck warranty on. And my undeliverable UPS/USPS packages. They seem really concerned about my packages being undeliverable. Oh, and my cloud storage. I've now received my 57th "this is your final warning" about that.

I was getting texts about my midget porn accounts, so I did reply and tell them, "no, I'm not Gilligan," and that seemed to do the trick.
