Who is flying the flag this weekend and who is not?

I am, but sometimes wonder why I see less flags than usual.

:patriot:

Unfortunately, we don't have one.

When I was at my parent's house earlier, my Dad was putting his out. He has a light to shine on it at night, but he doesn't keep the flag out 24/7 (not sure why).

I made one and donated it for an auction for a good cause. :patriot:

My brother was MIA in Vietnam in 1972, they finally brought his body home last summer to be buried in Arlington with full military honors. That is what Memorial Day is for me. :bawl:

He must be a veteran....
Generally, the flag is retired at sunset.
Then raised at sunrise.
Although you are allowed to fly it at night if it is illuminated, most proud americans won't, simply because of symbolizing darkness on the flag.

Also, Ol' Glory should not be flown in inclement weather.
Nor should it be at half mast unless given orders by the Commander in Cheif.

I will be flying one on my camper along with a POW MIA flag.

I do not have the really good flag pole to fly them as HIGH as I would like but I will be flying flags :yay:

No, my Dad is not a veteran. He couldn't serve due to health reasons. I think he's afraid his flag will get damaged/torn and he tries to take good care of it.
