Congressional Democrats Pitch Background Checks For Ammunition Purchases

“The bottom line is no individual should be buying bulk amounts of ammunition without a federal background check from places like gas stations, pharmacies, and convenience stores – especially without any sort of regulation and no record of the sale,” Garcia said in a statement. “If we’re ever going to really take on the gun violence epidemic in this country, we need to regulate ammo accessibility. This bill aims to protect the American public from the devastating violence that occurs when individuals have access to unlimited amounts of weaponry.”

“We have a moral responsibility to treat gun violence in this country like the crisis it is,” Warren said in a statement posted to social media platform X. “My new bill with @RepRobertGarcia is a common-sense step to restrict ammunition sales, strengthen federal oversight of those sales, and help end the epidemic of gun violence in America.”

We have to stop bulk sales because most of the killers we have been watching in Chicago and Detroit have thousands of rounds of ammunition on their person when they do their killing. It only takes one bullet to kill, how does preventing bulk sales do anything to stop it.?

Is there any evidence that killers buy ammo in bulk? Elizabeth Warren is a royal POS. She is a known purveyor of untruths and still they elect her..
This bill has no pertinence to mass killings , a lone mass killer does not carry a thousand rounds or more with them and IMO few ever do any target practice. I base that on the fact that so many people not targeted are wounded or killed by the bullet spray these idiots let loose.
One or two may have a larger capacity magazine or clip but that magazine or clip cannot be called bulk ammunition.

So: A person cannot buy a thousand rounds at one time. It doesn't stop anyone from buying a hundred rounds many times.

To tell the truth Warren and this other turkey she has recruited Garcia are not making some great effort to stop any epidemic of killing ,
It's just another effort to infringe on my 2nd. Amendment rights. They cannot ban guns so they keep picking at our rights one scab at a time.
