An Army of Emissaries

We are more vulnerable to the enemies deception than to any of their other schemes, because when they tempt us or accuse us we can recognize it, but when they deceive us we don’t always know it. That is their strategy, to keep us in the dark. We cannot expose their deception by human reasoning; we can only do it by the light of the truth. The belt of truth is the only valid piece of the armor against the darkness of deception. It’s critical that when we put on the armor of God, we start with the belt of truth because the only thing big about the enemy are their mouth, they are habitual liars. When we put on the armor of God we are really putting on the Savior and when we put on Savior we take ourselves out of the realm of the flesh where we are vulnerable to attack, it’s not wise for us to live on their level. Since their primary weapon is the lie, our belt of truth is continually being attacked.

Those who deny the enemy’s potential for destruction are the most vulnerable to it. Even though our eternal destiny is secure and the armor of God is readily available, we are still vulnerable to their accusations and temptations. If we give into these, we can be influenced by them and if we remain under their influence long enough we can lose control if we fail to stand against them. Ownership is never at sake, they cannot touch our new identity, but as long as we are living in this fleshly body, we can allow ourselves to be vulnerable targets to all their fiery darts. How do you think Satan carries on his worldwide ministry of evil and deception? He is a created being; he is not omnipresent, omniscient, or omnipotent. He cannot be everywhere in the world tempting and deceiving millions of people at the same moment. He does so through an army of emissaries “fallen angels called evil spirits” who propagate his plan of rebellion around the world.

I noticed the signature on newnature's post and then I looked up 2 Timothy 2:15. Paul was writing to Timothy, if memory serves me right..... Timothy was an amazing kid.... he was about 13 or 14 years old when he started his Mission. Both men professed to be followers of Christ. I think Paul was in prison in Rome when this was written. By that time Timothy would have been in Ephasus, I think. Anyway.... here's the whole letter:

1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. 3 Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. 5 Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. 7 Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this.

8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

11 Here is a trustworthy saying:

If we died with him,
we will also live with him;
12 if we endure,
we will also reign with him.
If we disown him,
he will also disown us;
13 if we are faithless,
he remains faithful,
for he cannot disown himself.

14 Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 16 Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. 17 Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 who have departed from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

20 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. 21 Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

22 Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

Most people have no understanding that there are divisions within God’s word in the first place and those who do understand that God has a plan and purpose for the Body of the Savior which is unique and different from his earthly plan and purpose for the nation Israel concerning an earthly kingdom, most of those people fail to see where in scripture God put his earthly plan on hold and thus they fail to see where the Body of the Savior had it’s beginning. Paul tells us our efforts at studying God’s word in a Rightly Divided manner understanding the distinctiveness of Paul’s ministry and message will come under the scrutiny of the perfect judge of our Savior Jesus at the Judgment Seat of the Savior. It’s a judgment not of sin, but a judgment of every believers work of faith, labour of love and patience of hope. The believers effort in those three areas will be scrutinized. Evaluated for reward or loss of reward. Work of faith - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Even our motivation shall be opened up...then shall a few grace believers have praise of God...then shall only the most productive saints have praise of God...then shall only a select few pastors and workers in the assembly have praise of God? 1 Corinthians 4:5, then shall every person have praise of God. Wow, every person. As wonderful as heaven must be, God has more in store for his Grace Age saints. Not only heaven, but an authoritative position in heaven expressed by that sitting together concept that Paul presents there in Ephesians 2:6. It doesn’t just mean sitting next to. Seated together with, means a joint place of authority in the heavenly realm. None will be given a pink slip or an absentees slip for this judgment. Our evaluation at the Judgment Seat of the Savior will be how we’ve utilized 2 building materials, the Word of the Truth Rightly Divided and agape love on behalf of the brethren. Every building project needs a set of blueprints or plans. Isn’t this tied directly into our Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth? The blueprints are Paul’s epistles. It’s the truth of his epistles that builds up the Body of the Savior. How do we know that? Because the blueprints were given to Paul as the wise masterbuilder. 1 Corinthians 3:10

Paul’s the superintendent, the chief architect of the building project called the Body of the Savior. The blueprint, the plans were given to him by the risen ascended Savior. As the Savior committed to Paul the responsibility to lay this blueprint out on the table, spread it out for us so we might see what this blueprints all about. 1 Corinthians 3:11, Jesus is the foundation. No doubt about that. But Paul did not teach Jesus in the same matter that Jesus was being taught by those before Paul. The law was the blueprint for Israel’s program. Moses was the law giver. If you’re going to talk the talk you better walk the walk in the law program. Why should they observe and do all that the Pharisees bid them do, because the Pharisees according to Jesus in his earthly ministry were sitting in Moses sit. Matthew 23:3, Moses was in a very real sense the chief architect of the law program. Paul was given the blueprints for the building. Most are still trying to operate with the blueprints of another program. The Savior committed unto Paul the responsibility to lay the blueprint on the table before the work crew. So we might build in a manner worthy of reward.
