The funny thing is, sure there are Dollar Generals, Nail Salons, Vape shops, and lots of chain restaurants BUT... they never seem to be empty

My point being that they do not open these businesses just for fun or to annoy locals. They open them because people use them. People like to complain about "chain restaurants" but, they are packed every single day.

Agreed! On another point, the same people who complain about local mom 'n pop businesses being too "expensive" are the ones that come in droves to pick the bones when they have a "Going out of Business" sale. Then, go on to complain that there are too many big box stores
The shine already seems to be off the new penny of Slim Pickins
Wife and I commented on that when we drove by there today. Planning to try them out though...
