Analog Rules!

It's amazing where YouTube's rabbit holes will lead you to. I stumbled on this video last evening celebrating the 50th Anniversary (Oct 2014) of the Moog Modular Synthesizer.

In this digital world we now live in, there is still a place for analog.

My uncle was the system technician responsible for maintaining all the electronic recording equipment in an old studio that was somewhere in DC area. For many years; he retired from there. All of their equipment was top of the line and state of the art...for the 1940s through 60s. Thing was....a lot of classical musicians insisted on recording there because the end result was supposedly "richer" thanks to all the tube-type amps and everything analog,

I still have all my slide rules...used to compete in a "slide rule olympics" back in HS.

The big daddy..complete with leather carrying case and belt clip-loop.
