Anyone have/had an elderly dog on it? My almost 9 year old pit is showing signs of doggie dementia. Isolating herself in her crate, carrying on for no apparent reason in the middle of the night and early in the morning for no apparent reason, bowel incontinence ( but only little nuggets not a full load), and marked loss of interest in the people of the house. Seems as if the only thing she does enjoy is the 2 year old boxer. Even now she readily submisses to him where before she was the boss. She just had her yearly in June and checked out fine. She was put on Anxietine (sp?). I didn't notice any difference so i didn't continue after the first month. After some research I'm considering asking the vet for Anapryl. Does anyone have any experience with it?

The Anipril sounds like a good choice, but the other Medication you mentioned may have been needed to be taken longer than a month for it to soak in so-to-speak. I googled Anipril, and it does sound very good. Poor Doggie! Our old Dog had dementia too, but that was years ago, and they didn't have anything out for it then. Good luck with your Baby, and hope the Anipril does the trick.
