And another actor goes on my refuse to watch list

Carey was off my list long ago.
He was never anything but a one trick pony anyway
Like a lot of comedians vastly popular in their time - he hasn't been funny in years.
And he's really never excelled at just being an actor - I've seen just about all of his dramatic roles and the only one worth a damn is "The Truman Show" - and even THEN his more manic style of comedy comes out.

Never thought he was funny.

That's true when I look at Jonathon Winters now he doesn't seem so funny.

Was it an Obama apology? "I'm sorry you all are too stupid to 'get' me."

Edit: I just read it. It was actually a pretty decent apology, in spite of the fact that he did not direct his apology to the former First Lady.
Yeah or John Kerry "I'm sorry you misunderstood what I said" type of apology. Bolt neck

I never thought he was funny. And his "artwork" is grotesque.
If we're talking about Jim Carey, I couldn't agree with you more. In one of his early "comedy" roles, he portrayed some freakish female character and acted like he was experiencing sexual gratification from breast feeding a baby. Wifey and I were both so disgusted we turned the channel and never watched anything else he "acted" in from that day forward.

Probably back from his In Living Color days.

I'll give him that.

It's very hard for me to laugh at comedy on TV - very few people can say, do or act in a way that will make me laugh. The shows that used to make me howl all the time were "In Living Color" and "Married with Children". And "The Simpsons" the first few years. Conan O'Brian - sometimes. Triumph the Comic Dog. The Redneck comedians - (Ron White etc.).

But movies and TV shows usually barely crack a smile from me UNLESS it's like an inside joke - like when Lt. Carter on Stargate asked Richard Dean Anderson's character if he could just "MacGyver" something out of it, or when Nathan Fillion makes references to "Firefly" on "Castle" and "The Rookie".

I used to love Hee Haw. I liked the music and the skits were funny, I haven't watched SNL in years, and these liberal night show host are about as funny as testicular cancer.

I haven't had TV or watched a movie for 5 years now. Ever since I realized the woke actors were using the platform to spread their Socialist propaganda. I may catch a few minutes here and there when I visit someone who has the TV on when I visit. I get my news from the sources I choose on my laptop. I don't regularly use FB because of the ads and "news" feeds. I do have a 90-day trial offer from Discovery+ through Verizon right now, and I've been catching up on American Pickers, but will probably cancel after the trial. I'm just biding my time until longer daylight hours, when I can be outside doing something productive.

unfortunately, we're stuck with "reality shows" that are anything but. They're ALL bogus. I knew a guy near Cabin John Md. that was "visited" by Mike and Frank. The production team came, surveyed his stuff, brought props and he was treated like poop. Pawn Stars??? Yeah...
I was stuck, STUCK, on Mud and water of Oak Island.... done
Home repair/remodel shows....come on....but Maine Cabin Masters look more realistic...
MeTV for me.... its even funnier than the supposed impartial newscasts.
Don't get me wrong, I know it's staged, but I enjoy seeing things like a field full of vintage VWs or a barn full of Model A/T cars that someone had the forethought to collect. The biggest plus for me is that I can pause the shows. It takes me about 2 hours to get through a 45 minute episode.

Off subject, but I caught a subliminal message in S15E7 where someone says "ditch diggers". I don't know if it was planned, but it's around the 35:40 mark. I was thinking it may be someone on the production crew commenting negatively on the land owners or a plug for a new show.

Better Shows on YouTube ..... although some are getting a bit ridiculous ......

drag X car out of a field that hasn't run in 25 yrs and drive it 600 miles home ..... nice concept for all the videos / rescues the guy does, IMHO the guys delivery sucks

I've tried to watch a few of those, but some of the stuff they said/did told me they weren't as knowledgeable as they thought they were.
