Yup. You can flip if y'ah want to, though I recommend something besides gravel as your safety net. Pants would be nice, leathers even better not to mention boots, helmets, gloves, things like that, but, hey, life is full of personal choices.
PS; The leg doesn't hurt anywhere near as much as the shoulder I landed on nor the spot on my ankle where I hit the end of the handle bar on my graceful way out the side door.
The interesting thing is just how weightless 260 pounds can feel when you're flying through the air.
All in all, I landed pretty good.
