Yup. You can flip if y'ah want to, though I recommend something besides gravel as your safety net. Pants would be nice, leathers even better not to mention boots, helmets, gloves, things like that, but, hey, life is full of personal choices. :buddies:

PS; The leg doesn't hurt anywhere near as much as the shoulder I landed on nor the spot on my ankle where I hit the end of the handle bar on my graceful way out the side door.

The interesting thing is just how weightless 260 pounds can feel when you're flying through the air. :yahoo:

All in all, I landed pretty good.

Now it's time for some self medication... :otter:

...thank you. Just pure stupidity. I wasn't even 'riding', just going back and forth between the greenhouse and home, checking on things. Just got a little fast and did my patented gravel flying, ass swinging ain't I kewl spin out a bit faster than physics allows for.

Dumb.

...well, how about a nasty bone bruise? How'd that be???

You might be in luck. I either pulled something in my chest or cracked a rib. Maybe just bruised. :jameo:

I'd be lying if I said it wasn't exilirating. There's just something about the edge that draws us, like moths to the flame. There has yet to be someone who gets all busted up or killed doing something terribly stupid that doesn't appeal to the little bit of Evel in all of us.

Uh, :howdy:

After I broke my collarbone, and went through that horrible recovery period, I have no desire to break anything again. If other people want to bust themselves up, they can have at it. But I don't find recovering from injury particularly "fun". And I'll bet I can get a big AMEN from Sharon.

So. Now that you're all in your second youth and such, does this mean you'll go snow skiing with me again? Cause, you know, you said you no longer wanted to do that because breaking a leg or arm wasn't something you wanted to risk at your age.

Nice..... real nice.... Can't take you anywhere....

Really glad you didn't get hurt worse than that. You must have landed on your head.

...nah. With a 4 wheeler, whenever it happens you know it's gonna be out the side or flip over backwards unlike a bike where pretty much anything is possible BUT you know you're not gonna roll it sideways. It's just the physics; High center of gravity, heavy.

So, I guess you just kinda know when it happens what is happening. It was slow motion and I just let it throw me instead of trying to hang on to a lost cause and getting rolled over. Everything was fine. Until I hit the ground.
