And The Skins Pick...

Larry Gude

Interesting pick.

The guy is a monster, for sure. However, he was a 210 pound basketball player when he got to Texas. He's had knee injuries, twice, and he's gonna keep having them. You just can't put that kind of strength on that relatively small of a frame and expect it to hold up.

LaVarr II.

Now, if we can keep him off of motorcycles...

I like this pick. The crowd went wild at the stadium today. We were all cheering when Sanchez was picked up.

I would have rather had Michael Oher but this was my second choice.

I hope they draft a steady ORT in the third round tomorrow.

I believe those were minor knee sprains, which only kept him out of a few games. No tears of the MCL or ACL. Common occurrence for defensive ends.

Kevin Barnes

Known as the Atlantic Coast Conference's hardest-hitting tackler, Barnes became a YouTube sensation after that service began showing the vicious hit he delivered on California's Jahvid Best early last season that caused the running back to "lose his lunch" from the bone-jarring tackle. But making sensational tackles had become a normal thing for the Terrapin defender. "That's probably the hardest hit I've ever taken in my life," Best said at the time. "It really knocked the wind out of me, and I had a little trouble breathing for the rest of the game."

Barnes looks like a good depth pick at corner. Not shy of physical big hitting, which is welcome by me.

Not so sure about this LB Cody Glenn from Nebraska. He's had character issues and has been injured. Seems like camp fodder.

Daniels picks Redskins over Cowboys

MU's Chase Daniel to sign free-agent contract with Washington
Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel will sign a free-agent contract with the Washington Redskins, Daniel said Sunday night.

“I leave Thursday to go out for minicamp,” Daniel said. “(Redskins assistant) Chris Meidt was the guy that worked me out at the combine, and he really liked me. I talked to (head) coach (Jim) Zorn a couple of times. I’m excited about the opportunity they presented.”

The Redskins list three quarterbacks on their roster: Starter Jason Campbell, veteran backup Todd Collins and second-year player Colt Brennan. “They have three quarterbacks, and any three can make the team,” Daniel said. “I’m excited about what’s going to happen.”
