It was cafeteria style picking and choosing that caused me to leave the Church in the spring of 1975 when I was 18.
Our guest instructor the evening of 16 March that year for CCD class was a Jesuit priest.
He sent the regular instructors out of the meeting room so we kids would not be inhibited by their presence.
His topics for the evening were reincarnation, meditation for recalling past lives and how to detect and direct human auras/energy field.
Hmmm...
I do still believe there IS a Holy Power outside of this life in which we exist, just do not adhere to an organized set of dogma and creed.
