then you dont attend functions at my daughters school

you get all those mothers in one room and you have to watch where you step so you don't crush a nipple.....

Im going to HELL.
You should for the nipple comment. :wench: Ex is 60 and D is mid 50's. They both have 15 year olds.

I like older men.

If you EVER come near me and make fun of my nipples I will do something to you that pan lady never has.

Note the little blue laughing guy. I have attended an honor roll shindig where a mother showed up in pj pants that were about 4 inches too short. I believe in putting my best foot forward and I think that may be ag art.
:yay: Yes I did see your smilie! And then there are the Hank trolls of the world I included that post for. I would rather die than resemble those old hagathas. And I've seem those same wimmins with the jammies on in Safeway even!
l

 I'm like you - best foot forward and also of the belief that just because the calendar says one age doesn't mean I have to look it.

Are you wearing a tin foil hat?...just askin'...signals seemed to be mixed.
My signals are not crossed. Vrai is happy her kids are out on their own - you said you have empty nest syndrome. Your posts in this tread come off like you are lonely without children, wishing you had more. You seem to not a have a life/persona of your own if you pine away for kids who are grown and out on their own.

I, too, will be happy when mine are on their own. It's what a parent should do - raise productive citizens who go on to lead successful lives. ON THEIR OWN & not living with mummy & daddy.

Also, you have this insipid posting style of immediately attacking posters when they challenge you or debate your points. Put your claws back in dearest.

As Hank puts it...you are a train wreck...Hey, Hank:howdy: This all started when I was targeted for missing my children...and mine have names...I did not number them #1 or #2...I didn't attack first...read all the posts or are you one that just goes to the last page...I don't have a syndrome and I don't live vicariously through my children...I never said I want to have them live with me now...just that I missed them and my house was very quiet...and that I wish I had had more children...you need to look inward before you start using words like insipid, attack, and debate...I was declawed as a kitten...what about you? I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you were just jealous that Miss America visited SOMD today cuz you seem to be so preoccupied with your looks...but that's not why you attacked me? Won't work cuz I already fessed up to being a newbie...and since then I have been nothing but nice...nice try , though!

Just because I take care of my health and take pride in not looking like an old crone - makes me not very nice? Or that I said it makes me not very nice? Believe me, I'm not a raving beauty, and a stick thin model, but I do take care of my health and my appearance.

I was really replying to the point bcp made about old hag crones (my words) being at the school functions. He painted all older mothers with a broad brush, so I was responding to that point by saying we're not all old hag crones.

:buddies:
I am on nite shift...and you are my entertainment...your words..."old crone"...so all moms except for you, look like old crones...what you put out there is what you get back...

I've noticed that a lot of the mothers at school functions look like haggard, overweight blubbers who look like they don't take care of themselves. I've probably got a good 10 years on a lot of them, look younger and I'm in much better shape. Just sayin'
Maybe it means they were better moms than you....and took a toll on them...just sayin'

Yep, that's right, you NEVER attack in your posts/replies. You really suck at this internet thing, you should try and read this thread again and see where you dicked up with your lack of comprehension skills.

Our son was born when my wife was 21 and I was 24, and our daughter was born when my wife was 23 and I was 25. I'm turning 55 shortly and they're both "out" and living adult lives. I'm still trying to get my poop together , but they're off and running.

My wife and I were both 42 when the surprise, "non-retirement" youngest daughter arrived. She was certainly unplanned, but most definitely loved and we couldn't imagine life without her. Our first two were twins, and they came when we were 32.

We know plenty of parents in their early 40's that have toddlers in tow. That facet of parenthood today is nowhere near as isolated as many think. Our youngest is about to turn 15 now, and mom and dad will be 64 when she graduates from college.

We hope she will "still need us, she will still feed us, when we're 64."

P.S. - We have a one-year old grandson via oldest daughter. I take him to a park/playground every day. I have been asked a number of times, very tactfully, I might add, by younger parents, if I am the dad or granddad.

That always gives me a kick and a big smile.

I have to respond to this. Bann takes very good care of her kids and is a very involved mother. If you met them you'd be impressed. So that shot missed the mark completely.

And she also has a smokin' hot skinny butt. :hot:

Anyway, it's interesting how many older - comparatively speaking - parents of toddlers there are out there. :yay:
