Animal Control...

Anyone have an "in" with them? Our neighbor's dog is driving us crazy! We've been the route with having them come out, set up the trap to catch the little bastage, and filled out log forms, all to no avail. I'm home teleworking today, and our dog (daughter's really, but she left her behind when she moved) has been driving me mad since about 10:00.

Neighbor's dog is once again loose and running. I watched the neighbor pull away in their car and watched the dog run down the road after them. They KNOW it's out and loose. Every time it comes through our yard, Georgia tries to go through the window to get to it. I was on a phone meeting from 10-11 and had to keep the phone on mute so that it wouldn't disturb the meeting. Just tried to call AC and got the answering machine.

I'm so fed up with this!!! And, before folks chime in, yes we have tried talking to them. Which escalated into a screaming banshee ranting at us out in the street and calling us all sorts of unsavory names. Shortly after that episode, they installed fencing in their back yard, but proceed to let the dog out to run. :burning: Well, guess I'll try animal control again later. :ohwell:

Here in Calvert, A/C is part of the Sheriff's Dept. If I got voice mail, I might try to call the non emergency number for the Sheriffs dept.
Don't know if it is that way where you live.

At this point, I don't know. I haven't been outside to find out. Georgia will have to go pee again soon, so I guess we'll find out. When daughter still lived here, the dog had her penned inside her car barking at her so she couldn't get out to come in the house, so I wouldn't doubt the little bastage would bite. I'll make sure to take my cell with me when I walk Georgia.

When bruno was attacked i called the sheriffs office non emergency number and told them what had happened and they contacted the a/w via radio and had him come out and take care of the situation. If this dog penned your daughter up in her car so she couldn't get out and come in i would make sure you tell the sheriffs office that part and tell them you fear this dog could attack you and your dog that you have to go take out to potty and can't make the dog stay in all day til these people show home and decide wether they want to bring the dog in or not.

I still to this date fear that the p/b will get lose again and come after me and bruno but so far its been 2 months and i haven't seen the dog as the owner promised me it would never happen again and so far he has held his end to what he said to me.

I just saw the husband pull in a few minutes ago, so hopefully he will wrangle the dog and toss it inside. I'm still going to talk with Animal Control at some point though. It really irks me that I follow all the rules and they seem to flaunt all of them with no repercussions.

hopefully he will bring the dog in but i bet not if they just let the dog roam free at all times. its best for u to catch the dog running loose and get the a/w on the phone as soon as possible and see if the dog is still running loose when he shows up. i would meet with him and give him the address. if the dog is to attack your dog the a/w will go hunt the person down and give them a fine that is what happened in my case the a/w got in touch with the guy he got a 250.00 fine and was asked to pay my dogs vet bill which he did with no problems..hope you can get this remedied before the dog does something to either you or your dog.
