Animal Shelter to Feature the "12 Strays of Christmas"

Throughout the holiday season, friends and family gather to celebrate and be closer to one another. At this time of year, it's also important to consider the animals living temporarily at the animal shelter. They, too, are looking for a warm and cozy place to call home.

This year, the Tri-County Animal Shelter is featuring the "12 Strays of Christmas" in an effort to increase awareness of the adoptable animals available at the shelter. You can view the "12 Strays of Christmas" and many others up for adoption at Charles County Government-ES-Animal Control or check us out on our Charles County Government Facebook page. Consider bringing one of these wonderful animals into your life-long loving home.

The adoption event begins Monday, December 12, and continues through Saturday, December 24. All cat adoptions during this event are $60, dog adoptions during this event are $85. All cats and dogs will get their first vaccine and micro-chip, will be spayed or neutered, will be checked by a veterinarian, and cats will be tested for feline leukemia.

The Tri-County Animal Shelter is located at 6707 Animal Shelter Road in Hughesville. Shelter staff can be reached at 301-932-1713 or 800-903-1992. Adoption hours are Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. To view animals available for adoption, visit Charles County Government-ES-Animal Control or Tri-County Animal Shelter to find your next best friend.
