Ann Coulter's Conservative Sell-Out

"I never thought I would say this but I’m afraid my Ann Coulter Action Figure is going out with today’s garbage. She’s said a lot of stupid things in the last few years. But her recent statements about Hillary Clinton have shown that she isn’t a true conservative. In my opinion, she’s sold out.

I was first irritated with Ann when she suggested we should invade Muslim nations, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity. I stopped short of supporting the decision to fire her from The National Review. But I did cringe at the thought of anti-Christians using her statements to hurt our religion. You know the people I’m talking about. They’re the ones who try to use the Crusades to suggest that Christianity is “just the same” as radical Islam."

"But Ann’s latest remarks about campaigning for Hillary in the event of a McCain/Clinton showdown have made listening to Ann Coulter almost as unbearable as listening to Hillary Clinton. And, make no mistake about it: Young conservatives take Ann seriously, regardless of whether Ann is actually serious about supporting a possible Clinton ticket. At my speeches, young conservatives have actually asked whether they should follow Coulter’s lead in crossing party lines."

I never liked her. I agree with Adams, she's sold out to sell people like you more of her drivel. And you will buy it if you can put down your Readers Digest for a second.

I find this sort of thing annoying because Coulter's column on that subject was obviously written as a protest AGAINSt McCain, not FOR Shrillary.

AnnCoulter.com - Archived Article: FROM GOLDWATER GIRL TO HILLARY GIRL

Mike Adams is just pissed because Coulter has more influence than he does. If he'd be more concerned about the direction his party is taking, rather than that all-important R after a candidate's name, maybe he wouldn't have these problems. Because, whatever you think of Ann Coulter, she is a woman of integrity and not just some party animal.

Strung Out
Why?

Exactly, overly impressed with herself and only concerned with causing hate and discontent. Consevatives would do good to shun her.

I don't get that. Anne Coulter is a successful writer and a talking head, just one more opinion amongst the throng. If she retired today, then someone else would be the new 'far right screamer' and then there'd be calls for that person to shut up or be shunned. And so on.

I am 100% fine with the nastier, harsher commentators and authors, left, right, up down and all around as long as they are making a point and not just screaming 'Nazi!' without explaining why. I'm also fine with people denouncing them one and all. I'm fine with the argument, the debate, the discussion of ideas. All I ask is that those with the power to do so, the news shows and all, present some sort of balance, have a real debate, ask good questions.

:yeahthat:

IMHO people just don't get it .... we should support the RINO McPain's to think about supporting the guy ..... just because he is registered with the Republican Party ........ with the Policies he is supporting, we might as well vote for Shillary or sit this one out and get ready for the mid terms in 2010 rather that being stuck with supporting Socialist Programs from McPain in the name of party Unity .... its a ####ing lost cause now .........

in the name of party Unity

See, that's where they get confused. It's not MY party - I just happen to be registered to it because I agree with them more than the other party. I couldn't care less about the Republican party and whether it's "united" or not. The minute I agree with some other party more than the Republicans, I'm outta there.

Why would I be loyal to a group of people who aren't loyal to me?

Both she and Micheal Moore are not concerned with contributing anything, but just to get as much attention as possible by being the Jerry Springer of American Politics. Maybe if she would grow up and learn to debate without insults, I might give her some credit, until then she's nothing more than a look at me drama queen.
