It’s one of our favorite events of the year - Toys for Tots! The gym at police headquarters is overflowing with toys – and more are still arriving! Our PGPD elves assigned to the Community Services Division remain busy working long hours to ensure members of our community have a wonderful holiday.
The need for these toys is great. More than 7,000 families, to include some 28,000 children, are signed up to receive toys this year. We have collected more than 60,000 donated toys - which is the largest amount of toy donations ever received! We are so excited to once again partner with the Prince George’s County Public Safety agencies and the United States Marine Corps on this tremendous effort.
On Saturday, the toys will be distributed to families that have already registered.
