Yeah, they started down the National Socialist path right after WWII. I'm convinced that Elizabeth was probably the only thing that kept them from going full-on totalitarian the way they are now.

What were you folks expecting? Here is nation which was once the most powerful nation on earth with numerous colonies throughout the world that were rich in natural resources much of it going back to Britain. Who one by one lost them by making unreasonable laws that screwed them over and they overthru their masters. Nothing has changed except these onerous laws and rules are now going against their own population.
