another lost dog?

There appears to be yet another lost dog in the area. On Olivet Road. This dog is beautiful with longish hair and maybe a lab/golden mix, with colar etc. walking in middle of road at 7 pm tonight. I've lost count how many pets have been lost/found wandering in areas of this lower county. It's worse then ever.

I do not understand how people can just 'lose' their dog. I have never lost my dogs and they have never been leashed, caged, or tied to anything. What is with this? Do people not look out for their animals? And I do not feel sorry for anybody when their pet turns up DEAD. It's their own fault.:cds:

Help "Invisible Dogs"
As I was driving on Rt. 5, just north of St. Andrews Church Road, there was "another" lost dog, dead in the middle of the road.

That's why some of us will pick up a dog we see on the side of the road rather than "giving it time to find it's own way back like it normally does", as it breaks our hearts to see them dead in the road.

Keep your dogs in your yard PLEASE!!

As I was driving to class this morning I spotted a Husky sitting on the side of the road.. literally sitting watching me approach. Figured "Smart Dog just sitting there watching me go by".. I slowed just in case, and sure enough when I was about 10 feet from him he leapt in front of my truck and I hit him.
I know, I can understan, how devastating it can be for a family to lose a dog, but imagine how a driver feels.

I looked in my rearview at the body of the dog in my mirror thinking to myself.. If he's dead, I have a test this morning, I'm out of here.. then thought.. NO, that's not right.. what if there are kids in the his house.. and I was going back and forth sitting in my truck for about 2 or 3 minutes.. Going to knock on doors, I HAVE to go, I can't be late for the exam.. knock on doors.. take a test..

Then as I look back and he picks his head up.. question answered without a doubt.. HAVE to go find the owners now.

As I'm walking back to him a neighbor stops behind my truck and helps me out, knocks on the owners door, helps me pick up pieces of my truck, and even ties my foglight up out of the way so I could get on the road again.

All in all I was 25 minutes or so late for work, a family is devastated because if he didn't die (he was still walking around when I left) I'm sure he needed professional care. I was AMAZED when I saw him pick his head up.

Anyways, if you let your dog out or it gets loose, and it gets hit, it's not just you that anguishes.. and I'm not talking about being late for class.. I couldn't stop thinking of that silly dog all day. I hope he's OK.. if he is it's a miracle.

maybe you could go back and find out if the dog lived, then you will know and maybe you can ease your mind.

Nope, I'm back to myself..

It's an animal.

My instincts were with me through out though.. Didn't swerve a 10th of a degree to try to miss him.

ppl don't lose their dog ... they don't properly keep them restrained when they are not supervised. not dumb animals .. dumb owners!
